Continuation of my own Coldplay Viva La Vida 's challenge. This one is my second favorite song from the album with Strawberry Swing, even if the whole thing is awesome XD you can listen to it there => [link]
This song is pretty MCR-esque I think XDDD
I've used the protagonists from my story Legendary Chronicles I'm still slowly developping...
Honestly, I was hesitating between them all.
I was planning :
-Viktoria & Adoll
-Lavigna & Cerulean/Cyan
-Olivia & Oscar
-Gwenaëlle & Oscar
-Blanchelys & Amarantine
-Amarantine & Antigone
@__@ but the 2 family pairings, Viktoria/Adoll (mother and daughter) and Olivia/Oscar (sister and brother) interested me much, for some reason. Perhaps because it's not fully complete contrary to the others, and those are relationships I don't often draw, too.
I've ended up to draw 2 different atmospheres.
Hapiness and warmth expressed by Adoll ([link]) and her late mother, Viktoria ([link]). Green is their favorite color and stands for hope. I was pretty inspired, as always with this kind of portrait, by Gustav Klimt's work, as "The Mother and the Child". In the story, this is a sepia photography took few months ago before Viktoria dies. This is the last thing with her ribbon from her mother that remains to Adoll.
Despair, with my latest male character Oscar ([link]) and his big sister sister Olivia... or is it Gwenaëlle, perhaps ? Who knows anyway ?... both are the "women" of his life after all. That was supoosed to be the only illustration for the song, but it was so gloomy, and I absolutely wanted to draw my beloved Adoll and her mama.
